Review: Titan – Conjuring

I’m seriously hooked on “Conjuring” by Titan. From the first crash of drums and that gritty bass pulse, the song locks you in and doesn’t let go. The trio, who’ve been grinding away in NYC’s garage-punk underworld since the mid-2000s, really fuse the dreamy, echoing vocals of dream-pop with spiky alt-goth textures and psychedelic grooves. Vocals drift in and out like ether, while live-sounding guitar licks cut through, giving the track a vivid, haunted-house-meets-dive-bar feel, a perfect mirror of their signature sound. According to an early review I found, the production feels “kaleidoscopic,” with “pounding drums entwine with soaring vocals” that form a lush, enveloping mix.

I like the song, and it should be in everyone’s playlist, because the way it blends that raw, emotional energy with a moody, cinematic pop sheen gives me chills every single time. What stands out is how Titan isn’t just rehashing 80s/90s alt-sounds. They’re channeling that nostalgia but flipping it into something fresh and personal. The chorus hits like a wave, wrapping spooky synth swells around a driving punk backbone. This isn’t polished radio rock. It’s lived-in, bleeding-edge, late-night magic the way underground music ought to be.

Overall, “Conjuring” is a killer debut single. It’s got attitude, style, atmosphere, and emotion—everything I look for when I want to feel something real through music. Check it out, toss it on repeat, and get ready for Titan’s next move.
