Review: Bellhead – Threats

Bellhead’s new track “Threats” hits like a storm that doesn’t ask for permission, it just shows up, rips through your speakers, and dares you not to move. The signature dual-bass attack from Ivan and Karen is as fierce as ever, but this time it feels even more sharpened, more venomous. The vocals are snarling and seductive, like someone reading your diary out loud while lighting it on fire. It’s got this gritty, punchy energy that reminds me of early industrial with a big ol’ goth punk middle finger. There’s no filler here. Every beat has a purpose, every lyric lands with teeth.

I love how “Threats” feels like it crawled out of a basement show at midnight, sweaty, aggressive, and totally alive, but still manages to sound fresh and modern. It’s layered without being overproduced. The production team (Neil Strauch and Carl Saff) clearly knows how to let Bellhead’s rawness breathe while pushing the mix hard enough to feel physical.

This song isn’t just a banger; it’s a statement. Bellhead didn’t just write another post-punk tune—they wrote their post-punk anthem. And I just gotta say, I like this song so damn much I’ve been telling my friends, my neighbors, and even my cat that “Threats” needs to be on everyone’s playlist whether you wear eyeliner daily or just appreciate music that doesn’t fake it.
