From the moment I pressed play on 1105, I felt like I was stepping into a late-night car ride with the windows down—raw, unfiltered, and full of vibes. The album comprises eleven tracks and runs approximately 27 minutes long, providing just enough time to be immersed without overstaying its welcome.
The opener, “Different Bread,” kicks things off cleanly, quickly, and punchy, setting the scene for an artist who isn’t afraid to keep it concise. Tracks like “Running” and “Breathe” find LV Mayhem alternating between high-energy moments and more introspective lanes, which gives the project a nice ebb and flow. I really appreciate how the album doesn’t bog you down—it gets in, makes its point, and leaves you wanting more. The production is street-rooted, the voice is present, and there’s a consistent tone throughout the entire release. That cohesion really works in its favour.
“Fly High (feat. Tay Bangerz)” adds a subtle guest twist and offers a slight mood diversion, yet it still fits comfortably within the broader sound of the album. Meanwhile, closing the album with “Cold Water” brings things full circle: you’re left thoughtful, nodding your head, and aware that you just experienced something worthwhile.
One thing that stood out to me: the brevity. Many tracks hover around two minutes, which keeps the momentum high and prevents filler from creeping in. For instance, “People” clocks in under two minutes. That choice keeps me engaged and appreciating the craft behind each bar and beat. Personally, I feel this is the strongest work I’ve come across from LV Mayhem so far. I’m impressed by how he balances his energy—he brings the hype when it’s time, but also shows a more reflective side without losing authenticity. In my opinion, this album will grow on you the more you return to it. And I believe LV Mayhem is absolutely on the cusp of something bigger here.
If you haven’t already, go show LV Mayhem some love — he deserves it for putting together 1105. Add it to your playlist (maybe under “late cruise”, “hood reflections”, or just “solid hip-hop”), follow him on your preferred streaming platform so you don’t miss what he does next, and maybe share a track or two with friends. It’s one of those records that works best when it’s in rotation. This is an artist worth keeping on your radar.
