Review: The Ambushed Poets – Stay With Me

Stay With Me by The Ambushed Poets is a burst of indie rock goodness that grabs your attention from the first few seconds. Released on August 7, 2025, it’s the lead single from their upcoming EP Holding Out Hope, which the band entirely self-produced, mixed, and mastered. The Ambushed Poets, a five-piece group from the UK, started as schoolmates and later brought in their drummer, Cookie. You can feel that shared history in every beat.

The track starts with bright guitar riffs and a driving rhythm that immediately sets the mood. There’s a sense of longing and comfort that flows through the song, carried by heartfelt vocals and a tightly connected band performance. The chemistry here is unmistakable, and the music feels both urgent and welcoming. What makes the song so enjoyable is its raw honesty. It’s not over-polished, and that gives it charm. It feels like you’re right there with them in a small room filled with amps and wires, watching something real happen.

This is the kind of track that sticks with you. It’s uplifting without being loud, emotional without trying too hard. One of those songs you’ll keep coming back to just for how good it makes you feel.

I really enjoyed this one. It’s warm, catchy, and full of heart. If you’re into indie rock, follow The Ambushed Poets and make sure to add Stay With Me to your playlist.
